Finding a Meteorite

Did you read the post from a few weeks ago about the sonic boom? It has since been confirmed that the loud noise heard across the Reno area was in fact a meteorite blasting its way through our atmosphere and crashing into the planet. In the last couple of weeks a few pieces of the meteorite have been found in the mountains around us. In response, Scientific American has published an article about how to find meteorites. There are actually some pretty good meteorite hunting areas right here in Nevada. Check out the article, who knows, maybe you'll find a meteorite of your own! Link to article
