Astronomy
Do you know what astronomy is? Astronomy is the study of the sky, stars, planets, and other objects in outer space. Anyone can be an astronomer, in fact many of the most interesting discoveries of objects in outer space have been made by ordinary people using binoculars, small telescopes, or even just their eyes! Check out this link for a star map. A star map is a tool that astronomers use to help them find where objects are in the sky. This star map shows all the constellations that are visible right now. It also tells you how to find the planets Venus and Jupiter which will both be visible this month. Look for very bright stars that don't seem to be twinkling, those are most likely planets! Venus will be very near the moon on the 26th and Jupiter will be near the moon on the 30th. Print out the star map and give it a try. Who knows, you might just discover something amazing!
