I have been told that the little creature we found in our water supply is a form of protozoa. Protozoa are microscopic creatures that are found in water all over the world. Most protozoa are very small, far less than 1 mm in length. The largest ever found live deep in the ocean and are over 10 cm long! It is perfectly natural for creatures such as these to live in just about all water and they are certainly not something anyone should be worried about!
